Cultivating Relational Harmony & Maternal Well-Being

Specialized, collaborative therapy for partnerships, parenthood, and personal growth. Using evidence-based methods (Imago, perinatal mental health, relational psychodynamic), we break exhausting cycles, reduce anxiety, and restore resilience. Therapy tailored to your story.

Psychotherapy Services

Individual Psychotherapy

  • You may feel numb, drained, or quietly anxious. Individual therapy is a protected space just for you—to remove the armor, explore what's beneath, and stop repeating the patterns that keep you stuck. We'll heal underlying stresses and past hurts, and build a resilient foundation. This isn't about "fixing" you; it's about uncovering the clarity, confidence, and self-compassion already within.

Imago Relationship Couples Therapy

  • You may feel like you speak different languages, constantly triggering each other despite deep love. We use Imago Relationship Therapy—a structured, respected method that sees conflict not as failure but as a blueprint for growth and healing. Imago shows we unconsciously choose partners who mirror unresolved past wounds; when those collide, we respond from survival, not love.

The Soft Landing: A Perinatal & Postpartum Support Group for Parents

  • The Soft Landing is a confidential, clinically guided support group for pregnant and postpartum women navigating the perinatal transition.

A safe space to drop the “perfect mother” mask, speak honestly about postpartum life, and gain expert psychological tools under Dr. Ruzicka, a maternal mental health psychologist. Small weekly groups focus on shared healing and resilience.

    Focus areas:

    • Quieting the inner critic: reducing maternal guilt, perfectionism, and anxiety.

    • Nervous system restoration: practical, evidence-based skills for panic, sleep loss, and rage.

    • Reclaiming identity: navigating matrescence while protecting your sense of self.

    • The relational shift: managing communication and changing partner dynamics after baby.

The Connected Couple: An Imago Skills-Based Group

  • The Connected Couple is an 8-week skills-based masterclass that turns Imago Relationship Therapy principles into daily habits.

Move from aimless talking and defensive reactions to a practical communication system that restores safety, passion, and understanding.

Privacy: This is not a public support group. Sessions are educational and experiential. Dr. Ruzicka teaches and demonstrates; partners practice exercises privately, with strict confidentiality.

    What you’ll master:

    • Imago Dialogue: Mirroring, Validation, and Empathy to discuss touchy topics without escalation.

    • Nervous System Regulation: Pause and respond thoughtfully instead of reacting.

    • Power Struggle Decoding: Reveal childhood sensitivities behind behaviors to foster empathy.

    • Behavior Change Request: Ask clearly and non-confrontationally to shift from blame to collaboration.

Your Questions, Answered

  • I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance directly. This model ensures complete clinical confidentiality and allows me to tailor your treatment plan entirely to your needs, rather than requiring a mandatory mental health diagnosis for an insurance company. I will provide comprehensive monthly statements (superbills) which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I highly recommend calling your provider to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits.

  • Ruzicka Psychology PLLC operates as a private-pay practice, allowing me to provide highly customized, specialized care without the constraints often dictated by insurance companies. I operate on a fee-for-service model where payment is due at the time of session.

Because my clinical care is deeply tailored—ranging from weekly individual psychotherapy to advanced Imago couples intensives and perinatal support structures—my fee schedule reflects the specialized, doctoral-level nature of my services. Please reach out to me directly via email or through the contact form to receive my current fee schedule or to discuss which treatment model aligns best with your goals.

  • By providing a seamless Superbill, you can get up to 80% of treatment costs reimbursed by your insurance, making your actual out-of-pocket cost more affordable. This all depends on your out of network benefits. Please contact your insurance provider to determine your out of network benefits.

  • Because your session time is exclusively reserved for you, we require a 24-hour notice for all cancellations or rescheduling requests. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, will be billed at the full session fee.

  • Our initial session is a comprehensive, 50-minute consultation designed entirely around understanding your story. We will explore what is bringing you to therapy, look at the patterns you are hoping to shift, and map out a collaborative treatment framework. It is an opportunity for you to experience our clinical style firsthand and ensure that this feels like the right space for your growth.

  • There is no one-size-fits-all timeline for deep therapeutic work. Some clients find that a focused, short-term framework (such as a structured Imago couples track) provides them with the immediate tools they need in a matter of months. Others utilize a relational psychodynamic approach for long-term, ongoing self-discovery. We regularly check in on your progress to ensure your therapy continues to feel high-value, active, and aligned with your evolving life and goals.

  • I specialize in working with high-functioning individuals, couples navigating relational fractures, and women and parents experiencing the profound transitions of pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood or parenthood. My practice is an excellent fit for those who are ready for an active, deeply collaborative, and insight-driven therapeutic partnership.
